Brian Manley is an avid investor and traveler. After graduating from MIT, he joined a Japanese bank in Tokyo, investing in hedge funds, private equity, real estate and insurance. He later moved to a sovereign wealth fund in Abu Dhabi, investing hundreds of millions of dollars globally in special situations – liquid and illiquid, equity and debt, small and large, from the pristine forests of Cambodia to the gridlocked streets of Lagos, Nigeria. He has reviewed thousands of deals and executed dozens.
Brian now spends his days at a hedge fund in Singapore. He is vaccinated against yellow fever and has been known to take malaria pills while traveling. He once played in a golf tournament in North Korea (he got last place), and may do the same in Iran, if they don’t reject his visa again. He also enjoys meeting entrepreneurs and investors, so please drop him a line if you come through his tropical city.
