Scentbird is a perfume subscription service that allows you to sample over 450 luxury scents by top designers. Members have a 30-day supply of their chosen perfumes and colognes delivered directly to their doorstep.
Scentbird, the subscription-based service for perfumes and colognes, has added another $2.8 million in venture funding to its $1 million seed round as it launches a new service that expands beyond the subscription model.
Mariya has a background in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science and Marketing. She moved to NYC from her native Russia, began a perfume blog and started Scentbird in early 2013 by running “Scent Discovery Soirees”. Prior to Scentbird, Mariya co-founded Neuvey, an IT outsourcing company, and co-created Beta Week - an invite only IT conference based in Moscow. Mariya has a strong background in corporate sales, project management, branding and event planning.
Sergey brings a deep expertise in leading product development in the consumer startup space. Prior to joining Scentbird, he was head of product development for Social Mart (a large CPC Ad Network). A seasoned entrepreneur, he sold his first company at age 22. He is an expert in growth hacking and gamification, as well as Product Development, UI and UX design, and project management. Sergey holds a Specialist Degree in Economics/ International Business from Perm State University in Russia.
Andrei is a coding Ninja with many years in the development space. Prior to Scentbird, he spent 6 years as senior developer with Luxoft and other top IT Strategy consulting firms in the areas of IT strategy and end-to-end consulting services in the areas of Enterprise Information Management, Enterprise Resource Planning and Rich Internet Technologies. He is a "Rocket Scientist" (Mathematics degree from Samara State Aerospace University), an agile development coach, and architectural culture blogger and featured speaker.
Rachel leads Brand Marketing, Editorial, Social, PR and Events as well as managing strategic relationships for Scentbird. She brings 15+ years in Global Marketing leadership roles for L’Oreal, Estee Lauder, P&G and Elizabeth Arden. Rachel has a deep knowledge of Fragrance and product development, along with expertise in creating strong, successful and recognizable brands. Rachel has an MBA from Columbia Business School.
